I'm leery of pathways that only work if nothing goes wrong. Because, this is life. Things do go wrong.
A family crisis.
A health issue.
A financial shift.
A mental health situation.
A class or professor that derails confidence.
The strongest pathways aren’t rigid. They’re resilient.
They allow students to:
• pause without penalty
• pivot without shame
• recover without starting over
When a plan only works under perfect conditions, it’s not a plan. It’s a gamble.
The goal isn’t to avoid detours. The goal is to build pathways that can absorb them.
That’s what real readiness looks like.
