I’m passionate about helping teens and young adults gain the skills they need to become confident and independent. From resume writing and interviewing to education and career planning, networking, financial literacy, and goal setting — I guide students as they prepare for life after high school.
For the past 20 years, I’ve worked in one of the nation’s largest and most diverse school systems, supporting both neurotypical and neurodivergent students. For the last decade, I have managed the College and Career Research and Development program at my school, where I help juniors and seniors explore career paths, develop executive functioning skills, and prepare for their futures — whether through college, career training, or the workforce.
I also served as a Tutor Lead Teacher, managing a large countywide program at my school that supported students with a wide range of needs and accommodations. My experience includes working one-on-one with students on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, and with dyslexia, as well as with neurotypical learners.
Before teaching, I worked in corporate America and returned to college as a non-traditional student. Losing my father at 20 and caring for a mother with schizophrenia while raising my siblings taught me resilience, grit, and self-reliance. Those lessons drive my work today — helping young people overcome barriers and find their path forward.
My professional credentials include:
Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP)
Certified Life Coach
National Board Certified Teacher
Certified to administer the MMTIC® and Strong Interest Inventory®
Beyond credentials, I bring lived experience. As a wife, mom of two teens, and long-time teacher, I know how stressful this journey can be for both students and parents. People often describe me as the “connector” who helps bridge gaps — between school and career, dreams and reality, students and opportunities.
During the pandemic, like many, I reevaluated what mattered most. That reflection led to the launch of FutureReady U — a space where I combine my skills, experience, and optimism to help students discover who they are and where they’re going.
At my core, I believe every student deserves a future filled with possibility — and I’m here to help make that happen.
I am also certified to administer the MMTIC® (Myers Briggs equivalency for 18 and under) and the Strong Interest Inventory®.
