CUSTOM TRAINING DESIGN

My Instructional Design Experience

I have designed research-based, practical, engaging training rooted in real educational and workforce experience—not just theory. My work blends strong instructional design, adult learning, accessibility, and current digital tools to create learning experiences that are clear, useful, and tailored to the audience in front of me.

Deep Instructional Experience

With more than 20 years in education across urban and suburban settings, I have developed curriculum, training, and learning experiences for high school students, college students, adult learners, educators, and private clients. I design with clarity, engagement, differentiation, and real-world application in mind.

Strong Research + Writing Background

My background includes publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and editorial work with NCDA’s Career Convergence. That means I bring strong research skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to turn complex ideas into content that is useful, readable, and well-structured.

Adult Learning + Facilitation

As a National Board Certified Teacher, Adjunct Professor, and Certified Career Services Provider, I have trained adult learners in pedagogy, career development, instructional practice, and practical implementation. I understand how to build sessions that respect participants’ time while still creating meaningful learning.

Real-World Career Development Practice

My work spans K–12, community college, GED instruction, private coaching, and professional learning. I support learners and professionals in communication, executive functioning, career planning, employability, and confidence-building, which helps me create training that is both strategic and immediately applicable.

Technology + Design Tools I Use

I am highly skilled in designing training and support materials using Canva, Google applications, website-building platforms, AI-supported workflow tools, educational technology, presentation platforms, and digital learning environments. I use technology to make learning more accessible, visually clear, engaging, and efficient—not just flashy.

My Goals for Instructional Design Work

My goal is to create learning experiences that are thoughtful, engaging, and genuinely useful to the people they are designed to serve. I aim to build training that reflects the needs of the audience, the context in which it will be used, and the outcomes an organization hopes to achieve. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all presentations, I focus on designing practical, accessible, and well-crafted resources that help people move from ideas to action. Whether I am developing a workshop, conference presentation, training series, digital resource, or customized professional learning experience, my goal is always the same: to create something clear, relevant, engaging, research-backed, and ready to use.
